Hot Spot of the Week: Probably The Best Restuarant In Memphis...
Ok, so my first post hadto be about my favorite restaurant in Memphis. Flight is fine dining at its best, where you can enjoy an entire "flight" consisting of delectibles in sets of 3's. The concept of the "Flight" is to choose a set of foods based upon land, air or sea. There's the Tenderloin Flight, Steak Flight, Feathered Flight and Seafood Flight, each offering 3 entrees under its catorgory. For Example, the Tenderloin Flight includes Pork Tenderloin with ground grits and cherry chutney, Veal Scallopini with orzo, lemon caper butter sauce and crispy artichoke hearts and Australian Lamb Chop with romary garlic Jus Lie, apple pepper mint conserve and spicy vanilla yams (one of my favorites). The atmosphere is exactly what you want it to be. When you pull up outside of Flight, there's complimentary valet parking and (In our case due to the rain) a butler with an umbrella to walk you to the door. You are then greeted and your reservations are taken. (You definately need reservations!) There are 3 areas in the resturant; the bar, the main floor which usually seats groups and business people and the loft which is more intimate and romantic. Flight has to be the best dining experience of Me and my husbands lives! The food even topped our dinner at the Lavo in Vegas. We had a wine flight to start off, an entree flight and a dessert flight; we mixed all three for a more diverse palette. Dont Get me wrong, this restaurant has its competitors: Circa, The Melting Pot, Texas de Brazil, Erling Jensen... But as far as Im concerned, Flight is the best!
